BATT INSULATION

What is Batt Insulation?

Batt insulation is a type of thermal insulation commonly used in residential and commercial buildings. It consists of pre-cut sections or rolls of insulating material, typically made from fiberglass, mineral wool, or natural fibers such as cotton or sheep’s wool. These materials are excellent at slowing down heat transfer, reducing heat loss during winter and heat gain during summer.
Benefits of Batt Insulation.

1. Energy Efficiency: Batt insulation helps create a well-insulated envelope, minimizing heat transfer through walls, ceilings, and floors. This reduces the reliance on heating and cooling systems, leading to lower energy consumption and reduced utility bills.

2. Thermal Comfort: By preventing heat loss or gain, batt insulation maintains a consistent indoor temperature, enhancing occupant comfort throughout the year. It minimizes drafts, hot spots, and cold zones, providing a more pleasant living or working environment.

3. Soundproofing: Batt insulation also acts as an effective sound barrier, reducing noise transmission between rooms or from external sources. This can improve privacy and create a quieter atmosphere, particularly in multi-unit buildings or homes located in noisy areas.
